The Digital Council advises the Government on how to maximise the societal benefits of digital and data-driven technologies to increase equality and inclusivity, wellbeing and community resilience.
The 3-year work programme will focus on technological issues facing New Zealand relating to trust, inclusion and innovation.
The Council has 6 members, plus a chair, representing a diversity of backgrounds, expertise, and regions.
The Terms of Reference (ToR) sets out Ministers’ expectations for the scope, responsibilities and performance of the Digital Council for Aotearoa New Zealand.
